We are always looking for ways to apply our products and services to help the environment and local economies, and we had the opportunity to do this in Heath, Ohio in late 2021 with the installation of our eco-friendly Johns Manville (JM) Roofing.
We had the privilege of working with developer COI Zeta LLC, VanTrust Real Estate and Pepper Construction Group on this 750,000 square foot warehouse, owned by Owens Corning, a manufacturer of fiberglass insulation and roof shingles. The warehouse will allow for the expansion of its Licking County operations by consolidating much of its central Ohio warehouse space into this new space, which will ultimately help the local economy.
About the Roof
The roofing system comes with JM Energy 3® Insulation, a type of insulation that is resistant to crushing and indentation.
The roof system, which comes with a 20-year NDL Manufacturer Warranty, is a TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin). This single-ply roof covering has heat welded seams and provides excellent long-term UV and heat resistance.
The white, highly reflective material can help reduce energy costs and is resistant to fungal organisms, meaning you don’t have to use any biocides.
What is a biocide? Glad you asked.
A biocide is a product that is intended to destroy an undesired organism. Biocides are extremely dangerous if not used correctly and can cause harm to the environment and other health hazards.
